Divorce and Family Law
This is a very important and emotive area of law which may potentially affect anyone at some stage of their life. We feel that is it important that problems in this area are dealt with in an understanding and caring manner. We can be involved in all aspects of family law, whether involving married couples, civil partnerships or cohabiters and we can deal with the issues surrounding family break up including the formal divorce procedures, the task of dealing with the financial issues of separation, including the ownership of the home, maintenance and separating capital issues, as well as dealing with specific queries and the care and residence of any children. We can also deal with problems including dealing with domestic violence (commonly known as injunctions). We have distinct Legal Executives who specialise in different areas of family law and many of our Legal Executives are on the Law Society Family Law panel and/or the Children's panel and can deal with Public Law areas or child care including care proceedings, adoption and other issues relating to the local authority. We also have the benefit of being able to provide public funding as a Legal Aid Legal Services Commission franchised firm, in appropriate circumstances.
